The charity run for Arosa Bear Sanctuary

The Run for Bears charity run for Arosa Bear Sanctuary combines two causes:
it aims to motivate people to exercise more while raising funds for Arosa Bear Sanctuary.

 The charity run in aid of Arosa Bear Sanctuary is a fantastic experience for everyone.
In 2025, an impressive CHF 4,500 was raised.

A special moment: the book launch for Arosa Bear Country

We celebrated the publication of the new book ‘Heimat der Bären – Wie in Arosa ein Paradies entstand’ (Home of the Bears – How a Paradise Was Created in Arosa).

The book tells the exciting story of Arosa Bear Sanctuary, from the initial idea to its successful implementation. It shows how rescued brown bears have found a species-appropriate home in Arosa and how a vision became a showcase project for animal welfare and sustainable tourism.

At the launch, Hans Schmid, Pascal Jenny and Vreni Schmid read selected passages from the book and gave personal insights into how it came about.
It was an inspiring event, which we were able to experience together with many interested guests. A big thank you to everyone who attended!
